Terms of service

By using the Netrivo website or HTTP API you agree to these terms. They are intentionally short. If a section is unclear, ask us before relying on it.
We are not affiliated with Digital Asset, the Global Synchronizer Foundation, or any super-validator on the Canton Network. The data we surface is public; our value is in indexing it well.
What you can do
Use the explorer UI, the HTTP API, and the on-chain data we surface for any lawful purpose — analytics, monitoring, integrations, research, dashboards, validator operations.
Embed the data in your own products. Attribution is appreciated but not required. Hot-linking individual JSON responses is fine within the rate limits below.
API keys & rate limits
Every HTTP API request requires an API key — including on the Free tier. Free is rate-limited to 60 requests per minute. Higher tiers raise the limit and unlock per-key analytics; see /pricing.
Keys are tied to a single account. Don't share them, don't commit them to public repositories, and rotate them if you suspect leakage. We may reset a key without notice if it's clearly compromised or being abused.
What you may NOT do
Don't try to break, overwhelm, or exfiltrate beyond the rate limits — we will throttle and may suspend you. Don't reverse-engineer the indexer to extract internal state we deliberately keep private. Don't use the service to facilitate illegal activity.
Don't pass the data off as your own first-party indexing if you're charging for it — that's misleading to your users, even if not strictly prohibited here.
Service level
We make best effort to keep the API and explorer available, but no formal uptime SLA is offered on any current plan. If we add a monitored /status page and a published SLA later, it will be linked here.
The data we serve is best-effort indexed from public Canton Network state. Indexer lag during catch-up is normal — every response that depends on chain time exposes the chain tip we last observed.
Liability
The service is provided AS IS. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties and limit aggregate liability to fees you paid us in the last 12 months (which is zero on Free tier). Don't bet treasury operations on a single explorer query; cross-check with the chain.
Termination
You can close your account at any time from /account. We may suspend or terminate access for a clear breach of these terms — abuse, fraud, attempting to exploit the service. We'll explain why when we do.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction we operate from. Place your venue clauses here when you finalise the entity behind the service.
